Premature Ejaculation and the Nervous System
How long a male lasts before ejaculating is chiefly affected by the nervous system. This write up will highlight the relationship between how long someone will last in bed and the nervous system. When a person’s nervous system is highly reactive, such a person is most likely to have the problem of premature ejaculation.

There are two sub pathways within the nervous system – Peripheral Nervous system (PNS) and Central nervous system (CNS). The spinal cord and brain make up the CNS. The PNS is connected to the spinal cord and brain, but it also links to all other body parts such as organs, limbs and so on. The nervous system’s function is to receive external stimuli from one’s environment (visual, mental and physical) and then interpret such stimuli and also informs the body of the appropriate response to take. To carry out this function, electrical impulses are generated and transmitted throughout the two sub pathways. The body’s control center is the nervous system. It is primarily responsible for instructing the body on how to respond to a particular situation.
The PNS also has two sub systems. These are the autonomic and somatic nervous systems which lie beneath the PNS.
The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are underneath the autonomic system.
These two systems have a direct relationship with arousal, erection and ejaculation and they will be the main focus of this write-up.
Focusing on the sympathetic system first, it is not just a system that is turned off or on. There are multi stages; the stage at which it is in is determined by the amount of stress a person is undergoing. If the stress or action is a negative one, it usually peaks when the danger is life threatening. If the stress or action is positive however, it peaks during orgasm or ejaculation.
Consider the sympathetic pathway as system that consumes energy. When it is highly stimulated, it leads to ejaculation.
Consider the parasympathetic pathway as a system that conserves energy. A person in parasympathetic state will not easily ejaculate even with a complete erection.
The sympathetic and parasympathetic systems are fundamentally opposite to each other. The parasympathetic pathway is associated with digest and rest while the sympathetic pathway is associated with flight or fight. When a person’s mind is relaxed and clear, and there is no stressful situation or danger, the parasympathetic system sets in.
If you need more details on how to influence these two systems, then you need to get the Ejaculation Trainer. It gives a lot of information on how to control the two systems to help you get rid of premature ejaculation. Once you understand how to handle them, you can perform much better in bed.
